Our horse riding and guided outrides on the farm are very popular. The Boerperd ponies are great companions to the experienced and inexperienced rider. The horses are trained and bred by our son, Frits.

Become a weekend farmer and count sheep, milk cows and feed cattle. The farm is ideal for walking and strolling about, mountain bike riding and quad bikes.

Do your own 4x4 trips on the farm or in the area. There are many beautiful and dramatic routes to discover including Rama’s Gate and Ongeluksnek Pass into southern Lesotho. We offer guided day trips in the area and into Lesotho and multi-day trips can also be arranged.

We are the eastern gateway to Naudes Nek, Rhodes and Tiffindale and ideally situated as an overnight stop. Cedarberg and the surrounding dry and moist highland grassland area have many bird species for bird lovers to try and spot. The bass dam on the farm attracts many waterfowl and is often visited by a pair of African Fish Eagles. The closest trout fishing is available at the Matat Mountain Lake.

Our old farm shed has been converted into a quaint function venue suitable for weddings (up to 200 people), conferences and workshops. The venue can also be converted to accommodate up to 80 children or groups sleeping on bunk beds for school/environmental camps. Full kitchen and ablution facilities for boys and girls are provided. Own bedding is required. Pricing on request.
